CAS Online Class - Day2

This is my card for day 2 of the Clean & Simple Card Making class. The assignment was to create a one layer card. For this card, all products used are from amuse studio. I stamped the two large flowers from the stamp set Floral Duet in Bellini ink onto Sugar cardstock. I scored the cardstock first but did not fold. I masked the score line with post-it notes so that the flower image would have a crisp, clean look. "Thank You" is from the set Hand Scripted and was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I love how this card came together. The design was created by Julie Erbsole.

Card Creations...

I submitted a few cards to a|muse studio Consultant Showcase at the National Convention in New Orleans this coming January. So excited that I am going to be able to go for the weekend. All of the cards I made use a|muse studio products.

Rocket Thank You

This is the very first image from a*muse studio that I've inked up. The rocket was included in my Starter Samplers, but it's also in the Quick and Easy Valentine stamp set. I needed some thank you cards for Andrew's birthday and I thought this was a fun image to use.
All of the cardstock is from Stampin' Up, which I need to use so I can buy new from a*muse studio. I stamped a large circle on the blue base card in a*muse studio Sky ink. The rocket was stamped with Momento Black on white cardstock. I colored the rocket with Copic markers and cut it out and mounted it with 3D dimensional. The red crystals are from Swvorski.

Busy Weekend

We had guests over Saturday night for dinner. Because of the heat, our BBQ was inside, instead of outside. Our friends had a very nice time and it was so good to be around adults for once, LOL. I can only take so much kid talk. I've been working on some pinwheel cards, which I've seen in some galleries on SCS. They were much easier than I thought. Hopefully tomorrow my a*muse studio starter kit will arrive. I've been waiting for it an entire week, ugh! It's going to be fun to play with all the new stuff.

Practicing...

While I eagerly wait for my a*muse studio starter kit, I have been practicing coloring with my Copic markers. Copics are very hot right now as a coloring medium in all varieties of paper crafts. a*muse studio carries a large selection of these alcohol-based markers. My coloring technique is improving, but practice is always a good thing. I may take a class on Copics, but in the mean time I'm going to find tutorials on line.
